Frequently Asked Questions
What training methods do you use?
Off-Leash K9 Training focuses on consistency, fairness, and clear communication. Training methods and tools depend on the selected program. Some programs include e-collar training, while the Online Puppy Training Course uses marker-and-reward methods. The e-collar is taught as a communication tool alongside professional instruction. Owners should discuss equipment, techniques, and proper handling during their consultation.
How long does training take to see results?
Results depend on your dog’s age, behavior, selected program, and consistency at home. Board & Train programs provide structured training over one or two weeks, while private lessons allow owners to participate throughout the process. Continued practice, proper handling, and reinforcement after training are important for maintaining obedience and long-term progress.
What if my dog has severe behavioral issues?
Training may help improve communication, control, and management for dogs with anxiety, fear, reactivity, or aggression. However, complete elimination of major aggression cannot be guaranteed. Dogs with severe behavioral concerns require individual screening to determine the best program. A consultation helps evaluate your dog’s history and discuss realistic training expectations.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment plans are available for Board & Train programs and include a processing fee. Contact the Denver team at (303) 222-8036 or submit the contact form to confirm current payment options, eligibility requirements, and available terms for your selected training program.
Every dog deserves the opportunity to become a calmer, more confident, and more enjoyable companion.
